Footie and sushi come together

So it looks like the England Football squad have a weakness for sushi ... their shopping list for South Africa has been released today, and it certainly looks a lot different to the list back in 1966 when sausage, egg and chips were hot favourites. Along with other staples being sent over, they've requested ten kilos of sushi rice, seaweed sheets and plenty of wasabi paste! They've obviously cottoned on to how healthy sushi is, for example nori (seaweed) is high in fibre, vitamins, protein and minerals and also provides calcium and iron. Traditionally, nori is eaten to strengthen the circulatory system and help lower cholesterol. Guess it's no wonder why Japanese life expectancy is the highest in the world, to which their diet is a large contributory factor. We're liking your style boys!
