I recently went to the new YO! Sushi in Brindley place and i have to say it is AMAZING!! Ive been to the one in Selfridges before and have enjoyed it there but its far to noisy! The decor is fab and looks brilliant,the atmosphere is fantastic....all the staff look happy and are very chatty and friendly and are happy to help and made you feel at ease...they all look like they thoroughly enjoy working there! The food is absolutley beautiful...it all tastes fresh even when taken off the belt and as for the pumpkin karoke....WOW! Im addicted! The chefs are fab and really nice to talk to aswell and will answer any questions quite happily. Overall my experience at YO! Sushi Brindley place was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from the time i walked in and was seated,to the time i went home...i couldnt ask for better service or a better experience. I will definatley be back again on a regular basis and shall be recomending Brindley Place to all my friends and work collegues....thankyou YO! Sushi team at Brindley :)

Went to the Brindley place restaurant for the first time with my friend a couple of weeks ago, great service from the boys in there and the food was excellent as usual. Actually preferred it to the Selfridges ... (read more)restaurant (although I have hear it's had a refit) nicer atmosphere and more space, also had the 40% off code so even better!!! x

As regulars of YS Selfridges Birmingham - having visited Brindley Place minimum of once a week - we far prefer BP.

Gluten/wheat free rice? 23 Jan 2011

Hello,

I love your restaurants and go often however I have recently been told that I may have a wheat or gluten intolerence and the first thing that popped in my head was ... but can I still eat sushi?!! ... (read more)lol.

I understand that soya sauce is out of the question (but I could take my own wheat free one in to the restaurant!) however I have just tried to see if sushi rice is gluten/wheat free. I have read that it depends on the restaurant and what they use in the ingredients. Is it possible to find out if Yo Sushi is wheat/gluten free sushi rice or does it depend on what indgredients each restaurant uses??

I i visited the new Brindley Place Yo Sushi recently, and have to say it is now my favourite branch!
I love the look and feel of everything, and the guys working there are really helpful and chatty ... (read more)- which is nice.
As it was quiet we were having a laugh with one of the guys pressing the call buttons on the tables - he seemed really happy to be working there which is also lovely to hear.
I love Yo Sushi, my only comment is - please can we have blue mondays at the Brindley Place branch please and perhaps more offers.
I keep seeing Yo Sushi in relation to VoucherCloud, but nothing ever appears.

Anyway - keep up the great work.
And well done to the Brindley Place guys!

Just a few thoughts on my experience at the new Yo Sushi in Brindley place, and why I will most certainly be eating there again. I did have reservations on eating there as I’m fan of Yo Sushi, so have ... (read more)high expectations of the restaurant.
Yet I was blown away with the excellent customer service provided both to myself and companions. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very attentive, they took time to build a rapport with each customer including myself. The food was excellent, cooked to exceptional standards, in terms of other Yo Sushis just as good if not better.
The atmosphere is fresh, vibrant, and enthusiastic while attaining a level of profession. I loved every aspect the place has to offer and will be going there again very soon.

Having eaten at a lot of different YoSushis, in Bristol, Bath and London and the other one in Birmingham, I have to say this has been my best experience by far. I was eating with 3 other people - friends ... (read more)of a friend, and thought it was fantastic.
They had not eaten at a sushi restaurant before and they all loved it as well. When we came in the manager offered us some warm sake to heat us up given the snow, and then got us some 'man size beers' as he called them. The food was great, and quickly served when we ordered hot food.
Being a new restaurant, it looks fresh and great, but the thing that made our visit was the service we received. We didn't feel like we were in a restaurant, the staff were all characters, and lept us amused throughout our lunch. It was informal and personalised, to the extent of sitting down with us, to talk through the menu and piint things out on the belt for those of us that had not been before. We all absolutely loved it, and you have defintely got 3 more customers who will be back as well as myself. This is how the staff should be at every yo sushi. x

Great food. Horrific service. Bad times. My hubby and I are Yo lovers but if brindley place had been our first Yo experience we would never have come back! The manager and staff seemed more concerned with messing about and befriending tables of girls than serving customers! We will not go back! If you want a great Yo experience that's not like a high school popularity contest go to Yo in selfridges Birmingham! You'll find no complaints there x

I had never had sushi before and wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I must say that the food was delicious and the kitchen staff should be extremely proud not to mention that everything was affordable.

(read more)service me and my friend received was the best I have ever had in any food establishment, they were friendly, chatty in a funny and very informative way giving a great atmosphere, which to me is very important, they also made sure that all our needs were attended to also with the help of the very clever button that was at hand.
So over all I will defiantly be eating there again and will give high recommendation to friends and family.
